The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce has been made aware that an email was sent out with our name and logo soliciting donations for a "Chamber member's child needing emergency surgery. This is a SCAM and the Chamber has issued No Such Email to its members.
Please disregard this or any emails soliciting money under the name and/or logo of The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce. New Oxford is now a key stop along the Lincoln Highway as one of our Chamber members, Redbud House, has just installed an electric car charging station behind their store that will make it possible for electric cars to re-charge while in New Oxford. Later this Spring, another member, The Christmas Haus, will be installing similar equipment. This is important because it will attract electric car drivers passing through and each one will spend their recharging time (1-2 hours) shopping, enjoying lunch or coffee, or simply enjoying a walk around town. This is a great news for New Oxford! CONGRATULATIONS to Chamber Member, VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, for the nomination of a member of their staff, Joni Griffin, for Health Administration Hero by Central Penn Parent’s 8th Annual Healthcare Heroes Awards, to be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey. Ms. Griffin was nominated under the category of “receptionist, health insurance professional or a non-medical employee integral to the services provided in our local communities.” Central Penn Parent’s Healthcare Heroes Awards Program is sponsored by Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital as well as The Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, Gift of Life Donor Program, and another, New Oxford Chamber Member, Hanover Hospital. The Chamber congratulates Ms. Griffin and VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove on her nomination and wishes her well at the ceremony in March!
