Once again our annual Harvest Day Festival & Parade has come and gone, and we would like to thank ALL who came out on Saturday to join in on the day's festivities! We hope you enjoyed it and will see you again next year! We would also like to thank our many sponsors, vendors, parade participants and of course volunteers! This festival and parade would not be possible without your time and efforts and we thank you wholeheartedly!
The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Isla Cat Promotions of Hanover has joined the Chamber! We are very excited to have this advertising/promotional printer as a member and look forward to seeing owner Cheryl Paulin at numerous events and mixers as we work together to increase economic growth and prosperity in the New Oxford area!
Volunteers are needed to help at street crossings for New Oxford's annual Trick-or-Treat Night on Tuesday, October 31st from 6pm-8pm. The Chamber recently had its annual New Member Breakfast on September 26th at Cross Keys Village's Campus Inn, where we welcomed our newest member Kelly McKee from McKee Agency and recognized our Business of the Year, Eicholtz Company! Thank you Cross Keys Village for hosting a delicious breakfast and providing a beautiful venue. The next New Member Breakfast will be held in March 2018. Several foreign exchange students will be in attendance at this breakfast, so make sure you come and meet these remarkable students from other countries!
The Chamber is pleased to announce the hiring of Britta Corle. Britta has replaced Ann Folk, who recently had to resign due to illness.
Britta will serve as our new Marketing/Membership Coordinator and your primary contact at the Chamber. As the face of the Chamber, Britta will be in the office to meet and greet you, as well as answer any questions you may have. Please stop by and say hello!
Britta comes to us with lots of experience in the marketing and tourism industry and holds two Bachelor's degrees in Business Marketing and History from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She also previously served as a marketing intern for the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, where she designed a historical driving tour brochure titled Somerset County Barn Stars and Decorations.
The Chamber is so excited to have someone with Britta's qualifications assisting our members, her marketing experience will be a definite plus when it comes to Chamber events and we look forward to working with Britta.
