Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
"Continuing a 100 year tradition that started in 1922, the event is always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving!"
For over 100 years the town of New Oxford brings in the holidays with their Annual Tree Lighting event! Center Square is decorated, and Santa arrives on a fire truck and lights the tree. There is a photo opportunity with Santa and there are cookies and hot chocolate served on a first come basis. The event starts at 5 pm, we recommend arriving by 4:30 to see the high school band perform, caroling with the elves, and to get a place in line.
This is a free event to attend for all ages!
