New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce, The Antiques Capital of Central PA, New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce

This years event was sponsored by Yazoo Mills and PNC Bank. Tom Miller (above) from the New Oxford PNC Bank located at Cross Keys Village set up a table and answered several questions from Hanover Bank customers who were about to become PNC Bank customers through a merger.

The weather was great on that third Saturday in June. Hopefully you made it out to enjoy shopping and eating. Our food vendors are kept to local service organizations and school fund raiser groups. This is one of their best fund raising days and that is why the Chamber has tried to kept out for-profit food vendors. The "fry man" was the last for-profit vendor and he retired and was not at this event. Several people kept asking where the "fry man" was located (here is a hint for someone to sell fries next year).

The Chamber would like to thank all the volunteers who helped with this event. Several had to get up at 5am to greet the vendors and show them to their locations. Fortunately I was not one of the greeters. Our co-Chairs for this event over the last several years were Debra Markle and Charlie Bahre. They are ready to pass the event on to new blood. They will help with the 2009 event, but they need to show their replacements what to do. If you are interested in replacing Debra or Charlie, please contact the Chamber.
